And I too was struck by the use by Alessandra Stanley of hermaneutics, although I did once write a term paper on Origen, one of the fathers of the Eastern Church, and biblical exegesis, but even though it was an academic paper, I avoided the use of hermaneutics. It doesn't have a poetic ring to it, does it? Dark nightmare of our political campaign is right--I just hope Obama has Clinton's ability to kick ass, because as reprehensible as I think that ability is, it's clearly necessary this year.
