Barry, The 60's were the best at MAS and George had a lot to do with it. I saw him at the alumni weekend, bought his book and glad to see he is well. I have spoken to the school about having a show of all the students that went to MAS in the 60's plus the instructors and they like the idea. An early work and a late one form each, student and instructor or more if room would be a great show for the the school and I feel would really bring in the outsiders. Ron J.

Sally, hello and welcome to Art Scatter! And thanks for the kind words. The Arts Advocates Project was one of the best ways to support the arts that I can think of. You wouldn't happen to have a list of the artists who participated, would you? And you have the "missing" three prints (apparently the consignor didn't want to part with them) -- excellent!

Barry, You have caught it right on. What a joy to read your article, so fresh, and a
true picture in words of George's imagery, pallette and rhythms. I was so fortunate to get in on George's Art Advocates Project back then in the 70's and have the full portfolio of ten. After seeing the prints on the wall at the Gallery, I am compelled to get mine out and framed so they can be enjoyed.
Thank you for your review - beautifully spoken.
