Pupu Platter needs your help!
Let’s just say we didn’t have enough audience polling of unsavory behavior going on right now. (Which actually we don’t!) We’d suggest joining MrMead at his Pupu Platter site and confess to the world what awful movies you love.
For me? The Vikings: Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis vie for the lovely hand of Janet Leigh, but when I saw it, circa 1958 or ‘59, I was more interested in how to storm a castle, the talons of the falcon and the long Viking horn. But before you go, tell us 1) what words you mispronounce and 2) the movies that moved you in the appropriate slots below!

A tough question, since some of us may think a movie is brilliant that others would describe as awful. Does that count? If so, let me say mine is “Knock Off,” the Jean-Claude Van Damme/Rob Schneider Hong Kong action film. Filmed creatively by a genuinely talented director, acted competently, and written by the guy who wrote “Die Hard” and “48 Hrs.”, it’s an unappreciated gem. But it is a gem that, when I tell people to watch it, is dismissed because of Mr. Van Damme and, perhaps more often, Mr. Schneider. But they’re wrong.

The Muscles from Brussels is vastly underrated as an acting talent! Now, it would be difficult for me to watch Rob Schneider very long, I’m afraid, and it’s possible that the graceful kung-fu of Jean-Claude might not be enough to counter the effects of Mr. Schneider. Have I mentioned that J-CVD started out life as a ballet dancer?
