Scorching temperature: The long and the shorts of it
Here in the Art Scatter sauna we wouldn’t stoop to wearing a muu muu, but we have fantasized about it.
Are we the only ones to pitch all decorum in this stifling heat? One of the large smelly boys* walks around in boxer shorts and the cat sleeps on the dining table.
I know. Gross. But I don’t have the heart to discourage it. The cat knows where to find the best air flow.
But back to the boxer shorts. They remind me of the mom who once told me that they have a rule in their house.
“If the blinds are up then everyone has to wear at least underwear.”
(pause)
“And that goes for everyone.”

At least it’s not the cat walking around the house in boxer shorts and the large smelly boy sleeping on the dining room table.

But imposing a “semper ubi sub ubi” rule may require bra shopping during a heat wave. NO WAY!

I don’t read Latin so that basically meant to me, “blah blah blah blah BRA SHOPPING.” I’m certain the store is in the Ninth Circle of Hell, and I don’t have directions. But maybe I don’t need them considering I typed that post while sitting on the front porch in the middle of the night wearing nothing but a T-shirt and underwear.

I don’t read Latin either. So I googled “semper ubi sub ubi” and chuckled as much as I did when reading the original post. Nice job, both of you.

From http://www.urbandictionary.com:
Latin/English sound pun. The direct translation from Latin to English is “Always where under where.” When spoken it comes out as “Always wear underwear.”

Oh dear, my cat sleeps directly under the ceiling fan in my bedroom, with the blinds up, and no underwear. What ever happened to the cat’s pajamas?

“blah blah blah blah BRA SHOPPING”?!?
Great, now I’m laughing too hard to type again!
