Some thoughts.
1. Koons’s “Pigs” is great.
2. Dakota is the name of one of the twins Lindsay Lohan plays in “I Know Who Killed Me.” She won an award for her performance.
5. The best Bergman film – “Persona.”
6. Nowadays, whenever someone makes a film that’s ethically, politically, and spiritually loathsome, the Academy calls it artistically great as well, even though it’s not. I’m thinking of “American Beauty,” “Crash,” and “Chicago.” I agree with you. We should just call these films simply awful and move on.
9. James Woods was great in “Pretty Persuasion.” And "Salvador."
11. Archaeologists think the new Indy film will inspire the kids to be like Jones? Did they see the movie? Were they awake during the whole thing? Did they not pass out laughing whenever Shia tried to act? These are the same people who probably grow up to enter into oil futures contracts expecting the price of oil to go down. I don’t know either.
13. I would have liked to hear your thoughts on some other notable articles, such as “Beaver Overthinking Dam,” or “Ex-Girlfriend Don't Want To Speak To You No More, New European Boyfriend Reports,” or “Study: Most Children Strongly Opposed to Children’s Healthcare.” Or maybe those are Onion articles. But still.
