Right on, sister! I resigned last year from a school which a)claimed the use of the British term "fag" -- for "cigarette" was profanity, b)that ask a female student to "cover her cleavage" was sexual harassment (I'm a 45 year old male English teacher), and c)that three cheerleaders caught cheating on my semester exam could not be punished because they were scheduled to compete that week. All were given a "B" to maintain their eligibility to cheer.
This year I'm afraid that my new school is even worse. After being "mooned" by a student I instructed him to "cover his ass, please" -- and was forced to sign a letter that I had exposed the students in my classroom (11th graders)to profane language. I guess the fact that the kid called my a fat ass mother -f_____
doesn't count!
